OpenAI hits 1 Mil business users
On Thursday, OpenAI announced that its business products—ChatGPT Enterprise, Team, and Edu—now have over 1 million paying business users. A significant increase fueled by the chatbot’s advanced capabilities and widespread adoption. This milestone marks a notable rise from the 600,000 users reported in April. Showcasing the success of CEO Sam Altman's efforts to promote ChatGPT’s use in businesses.
In a related development, The Information reported that OpenAI executives have been discussing the possibility of introducing higher-priced subscriptions for future large language models. Including a reasoning-focused model called Strawberry and a new flagship model referred to as Orion. According to a source familiar with the discussions, early internal conversations have considered subscription fees reaching up to $2,000 per month. These pricing talks follow media reports that suggest Apple and Nvidia, the semiconductor giant, are in discussions to invest in OpenAI as part of a new funding round.
Last week, OpenAI also revealed that ChatGPT now boasts more than 200 million weekly active users, a figure that has doubled since the previous fall….

Google is rolling out its Gems feature to users of Gemini Advanced, Business, and Enterprise on both mobile and desktop platforms. This move seems aimed at keeping up with OpenAI, which introduced customizable chatbots some time ago.
Google's Gems, a feature that lets you customize the company's Gemini chatbot as an AI expert in any topic you choose. Gems are meant to serve as experts on topics or as cheerleaders for goals like thinking through a project, brainstorming ideas.

Amazon-backed Anthropic launches Claude Enterprise for businesses
Anthropic, an AI startup backed by tech giant Amazon released its newest product Wednesday, a version of its Claude AI model specifically for businesses. Employees will be able to upload documents to Claude to help AI better understand an organization's data and provide "deep, function-specific guidance," the company said.
The Team plan offers small and midsized businesses access to all three of Anthropic’s latest Claude models, with increased usage limits, admin tools and billing management. As well as a longer “context window,” meaning the ability for businesses to have “multi-step conversations” and upload long documents like research papers and legal contracts for processing, according to Anthropic….
Anthropic also announced “Artifacts’ is now available even on free Claude. Which it said allows a user to ask its Claude AI to, for example, generate a text document or code and then opens the result in a dedicated window for editing….
