Reed Hoffman(founder LinkedIn, Investor-mentor for AirBnB):
Everyone is going to have an AI agent
or Multiple AI agents that represent them in the digital world
Its going to be quicker to get stuff done
Digital twins(agents) that will go out in the digital world and accomplish tasks. Personalization, not only will you have your agents. But the agents will remember who you are. When you’re going to Rome and you’re into art; then plan, buy and guide your trip accordingly. All big tech is doing personalization.
What Silicon Valley doesn’t get is the importance of commonwealth and policy! On the Washington D.C. side, its common to say all that matters to Silicon Valley is to make a lot of money. Yet they do want to change the world!
This is the Cognitive Industrial Revolution - like the industrial revolution that enabled the middle class. On AI the same thing applies as countries that did or didn’t join the industrial revolution. Its a big shift in human society where AI is used for prosperity. And we need to get away from the negative Hollywood sci-fi stuff. Competition between tech companies in AI could go bad if a duopoly wins.
AI tech at work - expanding coaching to everyone in the business. AI is better at generic boilerplate advice. Because it scraped the internet. And the internet was written for Google machine learning(AI) algorithm and people second. The more niche and more specific we get. The less useful it is.
Kai-Fu Li (Chinese venture capital investor, Sinovation Ventures)
Generative AI is the most important tech that ever existed in human history.
China is 6-9 months behind. But had no Chat GPT moment, like in the US.
Generative AI can provide a better answer than an internet search. So Google faces the innovators dilemma, to cannibalize its search & advertising business in which it holds a duopoly with Facebook.
China has planned to be leader in AI by 2025 and AI leader by 2030. In general its unlikely to catch up anytime soon.
General Mark A. Miley (U.S. Retired) talking to Elon Musk:
Elon: House cats…
Gen Miley: Elon You OK?
Elon: Were not the strongest - that’s the Gorilla. Were not the fastest - that’s the Cheetah. Were on top of the food chain because were the smartest. If you combine AI with robotics - then we might have a problem!

OpenAI is restarting its robotics research group
In a move that's generating buzz in the tech community, OpenAI LLC, the pioneering force behind ChatGPT, is reviving its robotics research group after a three-year hiatus. The San Francisco-based company's return to robotics comes as no surprise, given the growing interest in integrating large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT with robotics technology.
The reboot of OpenAI's robotics group follows its shutdown in July 2021, prior to the surge in popularity of generative AI sparked by ChatGPT's release. At the time, co-founder Wojciech Zaremba expressed his belief in the original robotics team's approach, but noted that certain components were missing from the perspective of artificial general intelligence (AGI).
Fast-forward to the present, and OpenAI's investment in humanoid developer Figure AI's Series B fundraising earlier this year suggests that robotics is once again a key area of focus for the company….

Elon Musk claims Optimus robots could make Tesla a $25 trillion company — more than half the value of the S&P 500 today
Tesla CEO Elon Musk took the stage at the 2024 annual shareholder meeting in Austin, Texas, exuding his signature "pathologically optimistic" enthusiasm. He declared that the electric vehicle giant is not just entering a new chapter, but is about to write an entirely new book - and humanoid robots, specifically the Optimus model, are set to play a starring role.
Musk first unveiled Tesla's plans to develop humanoid robots at an AI Day event in 2021, showcasing a sleek, androgynous prototype that drew comparisons to R2-D2 and C-3PO from the Star Wars franchise. The visionary CEO envisions a future where these robots can perform a range of tasks, from cooking and cleaning to factory work and even teaching children.
Fast-forward to the present, and Musk is promising to take the Optimus project to the next level. He announced that Tesla will move into "limited production" of the robots in 2025, with plans to test them out in the company's own factories next year. By 2025, Musk predicts, Tesla will have "over 1,000, or a few thousand" Optimus robots working on its factory floors.
However, some critics are raising concerns about Musk's ability to focus on Tesla, given his numerous other commitments. The entrepreneur recently launched another startup, xAI, which has already secured a whopping $6 billion in venture funding. As Musk spreads his attention across multiple projects, some are left wondering whether Tesla will remain his top priority.….
